PAS is a non-profit organization that provides many benefits to performing musicians
and audience alike through free public concerts and workshops for adults and children.
Workshops are given multiple times during each month organized by
different instruments and level of playing ability. Free concerts are
given at least twice most months, from September through June, showcasing the remarkable talents of our membership,
with special performances for new compositions, organ, and piano.
Everyone is welcome.
The purpose of the Society is to promote the performing arts among its
members and in the community. The goals are:
• To foster the growth and appreciation of the performing arts within the community,
• To encourage youth by providing performing and educational programs, and
• To provide performance opportunities for community artists and encourage sharing of their
talents for mutual enjoyment, education, and fellowship.
• Participation in monthly or bi-monthly workshops for musicians at various levels of
playing ability.
• An annual Membership Directory that lists addresses and telephone numbers of over 400
members. This directory can be used, among other things, to help members find fellow
musicians who wish to play together.
• A monthly newsletter that contains information about our concerts, workshops,
and youth activities.
The low membership dues at PAS only partially cover the costs of our many activities.
PAS is dependent on donations for its youth programs such as scholarships, Piano Master Class,
and the Chamber Music Workshop and Festival. Your donations to support these programs are greatly appreciated.
PAS focuses primarily on Contra Costa County but welcomes people
from everywhere. Your membership in PAS provides you with opportunities
for enjoying music and keeps you in touch with the community of
musicians around you.
PAS is a non-profit organization with tax-exempt status organized
under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are
tax deductible as allowed by law.
